Buying properties in Spain

Spain is one of the places in Europe where people from the western part of Europe invest in properties the most.

Since the recession we had in Europe a few years ago has declined the people of western Europe are starting to invest more in properties in southern Europe, where Spain is the most popular country to invest in. Not only is it popular to invest in because of cheap prices of houses but also that it has excellent connections in regards to flights. According to the Spanish land registry, in year 2014-2015 there was a 13,6% increase of selling properties to foreign citizens. In the same year the prices went down 30-50% compared to the year before, which made it possible for “normal” people to afford buying a house there. According to the Swedish business newspaper Dagens Industri (di.se) the top 5 countries who buys houses in Spain is Sweden, Norway, Belgium, United Kingdom and Ireland.
