The beauty of Valbonne, France

Not many Internationals have heard of Valbonne before, but French people are saying that it’s worth visiting it for a little way or even move there, if you like living in a quiet and relaxing place!

The commune near Nice, situated in the Alpes- Maritimes department in the Provence- Alpes- Cote d’Azur region in southeastern France, has the meaning of the good valley.

There is not much to visit in this small, yet colorful village, but its vibe is one of the most attractive aspects of it, it’s perfect for the ones who just want to stay in peace, in a place where no one knows your name and where you can also have the chance to practice the little French you might know!

What you could visit in Valbonne is:

• The old Village: the arhitechture of houses is very interesting and you can still see that all of them were built to be the same, having the deliveries made at the ground floor, living room at the first floor and on top of everything, the bedrooms.

The former town hall can be found on the main street, together with a tower and a fountain, and it was constructed in the 19th century, so it’s a nice old arhitechture to look at!

• The abbey- church:  it’s a Romanesque abbey- church built in the 13th century by Benedictine monks of the Order of Chalais and it’s a beautiful, religious arhitechture supplemented by different chapels and oratories.
