5 places to visit in Europe 2016

#1 Barcelona, Spain

If you want a good balance between fun and relaxing Barcelona is a great place for you! With one of the world’s best city beaches Barcelona have a total of 4.5 kilometres of beach facing the Balearic Sea. If you feel like relaxing but not in the mood for the beach, you can try one of Barcelona’s 68 parks.
During the day Barcelona is a great place to explore with their world famous landmarks, for example the Basilica of the Sagrada Família or one of the many museums in the city.
During the night Barcelona has a great nightlife with many bars, clubs and restaurants, why not pop in for some traditional Spanish food in the restaurant Uma, or a drink in the cocktail bar Dry Martini.

#2 Stockholm, Sweden

With its 17 islands Stockholm is commonly referenced to as Scandinavia’s Venice, with a with a long historical history. Enjoy a drink or a bite of food on the bank of one of the fanciest addresses in Sweden; Strandvägen on Östermalm with a beautiful view of the Djurgården island and Blasieholmen with a lot of greenery and historic buildings.
There are a lot of Museums (some of them free) where you can get an insight of Sweden’s history, art and technology. In the night time there is a lot of night clubs, bars and restaurants. Don’t forget to try a real Swedish “fika”, a place to recommend for that is Café String on Nytorgsgatan 38 where you cannot only buy the coffee you want but you can buy everything except for the people who work there.

#3 Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Amesterdam, a great place for sightseeing or have a shopping round. Take a canal tour, visit the Heineken factory with a nice sky bar or why not have a visit to the Van Gogh museum. A typical Dutch city where the houses are not wide but tall and a lot of water. There are a large opportunity for visiting different museums as Anne Franks house and several famous places such as the Red Light District or any coffee shop in the city.
During the night Amsterdam is packed with restaurants and bars, if you want to try Dutch food the restaurant De Silveren Spiegel is a good place for that with decent prices, it’s located central in the city.

#4 Brighton, United Kingdom

Brighton is a cosy and relaxing city on the south-east coast of England, take a stroll on the beach, ride a roller coaster on the Brighton pier or enjoy a delicious meal at one of all their restaurants. There is several monuments to see during the day; for example the Royal Pavilion and plenty of party during the night if this is of interest. Brighton is known as Britain’s “hippest” city and the gay capital of the United Kingdom as they have a large LGBT population and society. As said Brighton has a great nightlife and one club worth a visit is Brighton Coalition.

#5 Zürich, Switzerland

The largest city in Switzerland has a lot to offer, for example they one of the largest collections of modern art in the world at the Zürich Museum of Art. During the day one recommended sight to visit is the easily accessed hill on the outskirts of Zurich can give a spectacular view over the city, there are also a great amount of museums and parks in the city. During the night you can visit one of the many restaurants or bars, if you would like to try something Swiss Didi’s Freiden is a great place with reasonable prices. If you’d rather enjoy a cocktail Raygrodski is a place to go to, a place that offers a warm environment with a wide variation of both classic and signature cocktails.
